For our Policy and Research Division, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to be our next: Administrative Assistant (50%)
Location: Geneva
Starting date: 1st September 2018 or upon mutual agreement
Duration: unlimited
THE ROLE
Reporting to the head and deputy head of the Policy and Research Division, the administrative assistant is responsible for the administrative aspects of the day to day functioning of the division. This includes:
- Divisional administration, including implementing organizational management procedures, maintaining a divisional filing system, managing travel arrangements, keeping track of absences
- Financial administration, including processing payments, overseeing the divisions budget and accounts, and assisting with the compilation of financial reports and audits for donors
- Human resources support, including coordinating and supporting the hiring and induction of incoming staff
- Other assistance, including liaising with experts, assisting with the organization of events.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a similar position
- Excellent administrative / organisational / financial management skills
- Fluent in English and French
- Ability to proactively plan and implement work, including managing multiple priorities
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relationships in a dynamic, multi-cultural environment
OTHER
- Swiss or EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland at the time of application is a pre-requisite
- Availability to work five half days per week
